The Arts Council of Greater New Haven presents VIBRANT. A Look at Contemporary Lyricism at Perspectives…The Gallery at Whitney Center. This exhibition will be on display from Friday, November 15th through Saturday, February 22, 2014. Gallery hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4p.m. to 7 p.m. An artist talk is scheduled for January 25, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a special performance by Joseph Higgins and public reception from 3 p.m to 5 p.m.

VIBRANT. A Look at Contemporary Lyricism is curated by Insook Hwang and Debbie Hesse who said, “The eight artists in VIBRANT employ abstraction as a vehicle to create direct, personal, and poetic expressions of emotional states of being.

 

The artists participating in the show include: Kwadwo Adae, Cat Balco, Leticia Galizzi, Bob Gregson, Chris Joy, Bob Keating, Will Lustenader and Annie Sailer.

Perspectives…The Gallery at Whitney Center, a gallery exhibit in partnership with the Arts Council of Greater New Haven and Whitney Center, is located at 200 Leeder Hill Drive, Hamden. The gallery features regional artists in group and thematic shows. Hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4 to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m.
