Steve Routman, Actor
Steve Routman most recently appeared onstage in New Haven as Benjamin Cohen in The Underpants at the Long Wharf Theater. Steve is a recent New Havenite, having moved here from New York City. He has appeared on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and in Regional Theaters around the country in over 60 productions. Connecticut audiences have seen Steve in A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and Dorian at Goodspeed; America’s Sweetheart at the Hartford Stage; Black Snow at Yale Rep; the O’Neill Playwright and Musical Conferences; and The Winter’s Tale at Shakespeare on the Sound. His movie and television work includes Inside Llewyn Davis; The Wolf of Wall Street; The Bourne Legacy; Boardwalk Empire; and The Good Wife and he has worked with such directors as Martin Scorcese, Joel and Ethan Coen, Peter Berg, and Luc Besson. He is a proud graduate of Northwestern University, a lyricist in the BMI Workshop with composer Joy Son (Harrington Award), and father to Beatrice.
